Customs, NAFDAC Launch Joint Drug Enforcement Committee
The Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi and the Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Prof. Moji Adeyeye, have inaugurated a joint implementation committee on drug regulation enforcement.Customs and NAFDAC had signed an agreement on November 14, 2024, during the CGC’s annual conference to strengthen regulatory collaboration to combat the trafficking of illicit, substandard, and harmful pharmaceutical products into Nigeria.Adeniyi said, “Every time we meet, your position has always been for us to come together and deepen collaboration.“This implementation committee will drive our shared vision”.He stated that the committee’s terms of reference had been outlined to guide joint planning, training, standardisation, communication, monitoring, and issue resolution.www.twitter.com/spyetv
