Governor Bassey Otu has approved the appointment of Professor Francisca Bassey as the substantive Vice Chancellor of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS). Appointment Now Official The announcement, which came through a statement signed by Professor Anthony Owan-Enoh, Secretary to the State Government, confirmed that the appointment takes effect immediately. Owan-Enoh, who once led UNICROSS himself, said the decision was based on the recommendation of the university’s Governing Council. From Acting to Full Leadership Professor Bassey had been serving in an acting role after Professor Austin Angba was suspended following allegations of misconduct. Though Angba later won his case
