Mrs. Iyom Amaka Obi, who recently obtained her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership and Management from the prestigious Highstone Global University in Texas, United States of America, is being hunted by a certain cabal in Umuru village Ebenesi Nnobi community. This cabal has sworn to make Idemili-South ungovernable because Amaka Obi wasn't their preferred choice for local government chairman and to add to their pains and chagrin, she refused to serve their selfish interests as well as run the local government council under their whims and caprices. The latest negative propaganda against Amaka Obi by this Nnobi cabal is the contracting of social media writers to discredit her PhD degree on the grounds that the qualification is fake and that Highstone Global University Texas doesn't exist let alone accredited to confer such honours. But further investigations by this journalist, as revealed by Google showed that Highstone Global University Texas not only existed but also a fully certified and accredited academic institution with opportunities for distant learning programmes all over the world which Hon. Mrs. Iyom Amaka Obi leveraged on to obtain her PhD in Educational Leadership and Management. Before now, this Nnobi cabal had manifested their hatred and animosity against Amaka Obi during her nomination for the office of the TC chairman prior to her election as the substantive executive chairman of Idemili-South Local Government Area now coupled with several plots to pull her down but God has continued to vindicate and protect her from the evil machinations of her enemies. This cabal from Umuru village Ebenesi Nnobi said to be power drunk has not only unleashed undue and unnecessary hatred on Amaka Obi but has also extended same magnitude to the traditional ruler of Nnobi community because nothing good comes from others except through them. It was however necessary to set the records straight concerning the Doctorate Degree she acquired recently from Highstone Global University, a prestigious academic institution based in Texas, United States of America. It was important to make the clarifications because her antagonists seemed jealous and intimidated by her progress and advancement in life. Hence they are hell-bent on undermining her efforts and dragging her hard-earned reputation to the mud. Amaka Obi who exemplifies the pride of womanhood has proven her mettle in public administration and leadership; being the only woman amongst the 21 Local Government Chairmen in Anambra State and about the best performing council chairman and grassroots mobilizer in Anambra State. Amaka Obi stands out as a role model, a source of inspiration and encouragement to other women who desire to take the Bull by the horn in pursuit of their dreams and aspirations. Her records of sterling performance and achievements as the Chairman of Idemili-South Local Government Area speaks volumes because her programmes and projects have changed lives and lifted many out of poverty, hunger and unemployment. Her open-door policy as the Chairman of Idemili-South Local Government Area is second to none and her democratic governance model has equally endeared her to the people of Idemili-South and Ndi-Anambra in general. Idemili-South under Amaka Obi has undergone various metamorphosis in infrastructure, education, agriculture, health, roads, ecology, human capital development, empowerment programmes, political renaissance and what have you. No wonder she has the chieftaincy title of Iyom Ife-Abata meaning one who brought Idemili-South to limelight in her own time. It is therefore advised that rather than condemn her PhD degree, her antagonists should swallow their pride and congratulate her because she deserves to be congratulated and celebrated for attaining such heights; who God has blessed, no one can curse !Amaka Obi remains a shining star and there is absolutely nothing Nnobi cabal can do about it !
