The International Institute of Publishing Studies (IIPS), University of Abuja, has graduated a fresh set of students from the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI) after completing a one-month Industrial Training (IT) in graphics design, printing, and electronic designs.The training, which commenced on August 1, 2025, was designed to enhance the students’ professional competence in modern publishing and digital design.Speaking at the ceremony, the Commandant of NASPRI, Lieutenant Colonel Adamu Yahaya Ngulde, explained that the partnership with IIPS was initiated to equip students with practical skills in graphics and printing that would not only make them globally competitive but also highly resourceful within the military. He emphasized the importance of sustaining the collaboration, noting that two different sets of NASPRI students had already benefited from the programme.In his welcome address, the Director of IIPS, Professor Chris Ogbonda, commended the students for their commitment, discipline, and eagerness to learn throughout the programme. He expressed delight at their performance during practical tests, describing the outcome of the training as “a clear demonstration of their expertise and readiness for the field.” Professor Ogbonda urged the graduates to continue improving themselves to stand out among their peers.Highlights of the graduation ceremony included the presentation of students’ final projects, award of certificates, exchange of souvenirs, and group photographs.Lieutenant Colonel Ngulde expressed his gratitude to the institute’s management and staff for their dedication and charged the students to put their newly acquired skills to effective use in their professional assignments.www.twitter.com/spyetv
