Japanese Company Introduces Retro Audio Cassette Player With Modern Technology

You may not be familiar with the Japanese electronics brand Maxell, but the company has recently introduced a portable cassette player that resembles the Sony Walkman that was introduced over 40 years ago.The cassette player is called the Maxell MXCP-P100, and as we said, it plays audio cassettes, just like what cassette players like the Sony Walkman made popular. The only major difference is that this device introduced by Maxell also comes with some modern features.First is that it comes with support for Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity which allows you to connect your earphones or headphones to this device to listen to the songs being played. If you want to bring back the retro era with wired earphones, this player also retains the 3.5mm connection for you.While old-school portable cassette players were powered by AA batteries that needed to be replaced every now and then, Maxell says that the battery in their cassette player can be charged via a USB connection, and on a full charge, it can last for 9 hours when connected to wired headphones, and up to 7 hours via Bluetooth headphones.The Maxell MXP-P100 player also has a compact and lightweight design. With dimensions of 122 x 91 x 38mm and a weight of 210g, it makes it an audio device that is easy to carry around, even in your pocket.Maxell has started selling the MXP-P100 cassette player in Japan for 13,000 yen (~RM380), but some reports have said that due to the growing popularity of retro audio players in the country, the product seems to be sold out for now.
