13th RMK: Government Continues Rahmah Package for Internet Services
In an effort to reduce the people's spending burden, the Prime Minister has now announced that the government will continue the Rahmah Package for internet services.Previously, in 2023, the 5G Rahmah Package was introduced which offered 60GB of monthly data access at a price of RM60 per month. In addition, the Rahmah Prepaid Student Package was also offered at a price of RM30 with a minimum of 30GB of data valid for 180 days.Moving forward, it is not yet known whether these packages will be given a new lease of life - in line with changes in data usage by users. For your information, in 2023, the government also offered a fixed broadband plan for the B40 group, offering the Fixed Broadband Unity Package at a price of RM69 with a minimum connection of 30Mbps. It is not yet known whether it will also be given a new lease of life under the Rahmah Package brand or otherwise.
