Anker Prime Charging Station Desktop Charger Hacked to Play DOOM
DOOM, the first game that introduced the world to the first-person shooter genre, is now almost 30 years old. The latest DOOM series features the same gameplay, but with deeper graphics, music, and storytelling.The original game has always been used by those with the technical knowledge to hack devices to power it, and allows people to see how far computing technology has advanced in the 30 years since the game was introduced.Recently, a hacker, Aaron Christophel, has shown the game being played on an Anker Prime Charging Station charging accessory that comes with the ability to charge multiple devices at once, as well as the original DOOM game.The accessory comes with 250W of charging power, but what is important for this experiment is the 2.26-inch screen display with a resolution of 480×200 pixels, along with the Synwit SWM34S SoC paired with 8MB of SDRAM memory and 16MB of storage.Doomslayer's movement in this build also only requires the use of the wheel on the side of this charging accessory. Users only need to turn the wheel to move the character forward and backward, press the button and turn the wheel to turn left and right, and press the button to shoot enemies.From what can be seen in the video below, this game can be moved quite smoothly.
