Safe Superintelligence Inc Founded By OpenAI Founder For Safer AI Development
A new artificial intelligence (AI) company Safe Superintelligence Inc (SSI) was founded by Ilya Sutskever yesterday. Sutskever is one of the founders of OpenAI where he is the chief scientist and he just resigned from this company last month. The purpose of the company was to develop artificial intelligence that is safer than what is being developed by other companies.In a statement issued by SSI yesterday, the company wants to develop safe super intelligence with it being the main focus. High intelligence capabilities are developed along with a safe approach.This primary focus of SSI means that there is no disruption by overhead management or the need to produce product cycles, and the business model will outweigh the importance of safety and therefore no short-term commercial pressure. SSI will open their offices in Palo Alto and Tel Aviv.At this time SSI has three founders namely Ilya Sutskever, Daniel Gross, Daniel Levy. Daniel Levy is also a former employee of OpenAI while Daniel Gross is an entrepreneur who founded the company AI Cue which was acquired by Apple.
