LinkedIn Will Train AI Models Using User Data

LinkedIn today confirmed they will begin training their own artificial intelligence (AI) models using site user data. However users who do not want their data to be used can choose to prevent it from happening through the ad settings.User data in the European Union (EU) and Switzerland are exempt because there is a bill that does not allow data to be used at will without permission. The use of user data to train this AI will come into force from next November 20 through the agreement of the new terms and conditions of the site.Previously, site operators sold users' personal data to advertisers as a free service fee. With this practice stopped, the use of data to train AI is now done by site owners. As we reported a few weeks ago, Meta confirmed they were using Facebook and Instagram user data to train an AI model with the process of not allowing it to be done is pretty sloppy.
