Ned Lamont gave the state’s top utilities regulator, Marissa Gillett, another two years at the helm of the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority on Monday, despite recent criticism over her transparency and Connecticut’s high electric costs. Gillett, 38, has led PURA since 2019 when she was chosen by Lamont. She previously worked as an advisor to the Maryland Public Service Commission and for an energy storage trade association.
