Essentia hospital nurses in Duluth, Superior avoid strike

DULUTH — Essentia Health has reached a tentative contract agreement with acute care hospital nurses in the Twin Ports, averting a strike that was set to begin next week. The accord, reached Friday morning, includes a 9.75% wage increase spread over the next three years, according to the Minnesota Nurses Association.
