The signing took place in Abu Dhabi during a high-level meeting between UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who is on a working visit to the UAE. The agreement is expected to usher in a new era of economic cooperation between the two nations, focusing on investment, food security, renewable energy, environmental collaboration, and broader development goals. UAE President Sheikh Mohammed welcomed President Aliyev at the Beach Palace in Abu Dhabi. The two leaders discussed strengthening cooperation and expanding strategic ties. They emphasized the need for joint action to promote peace, stability, and security both regionally and globally while aligning their shared vision for long-term prosperity. Sheikh Mohammed affirmed that UAE-Azerbaijan relations are rooted in mutual respect and shared interests, with continuous development in areas that support sustainable growth. He also stressed the UAE’s commitment to fostering dialogue among cultures and building inclusive development partnerships across the Caucasus region, especially with Azerbaijan.
