‘Are you serious?’ Disgraced ex-rep stuns with frantic prison plea

Ousted former Rep. George Santos (R-NY) stunned media personality Tucker Carlson in an interview published Friday, voicing fears that he wouldn’t last long during his impending prison sentence on identity theft and wire fraud charges.“I don’t know that I survive it,” Santos said after being asked by Carlson his thoughts on his impending 87-month sentence, set to begin no later than July 25.“They're putting me in a violent prison, I’m not a streetwise guy, I don’t know how to fight, I’m a gay man, and statistics tell you what happens to gay men in prison. I don’t know that I survive this. I’m being honest.”Santos was elected to Congress in 2022, but was soon expelled by the House following his federal indictment, as well as the findings of an investigation by the House Ethics Committee.
