SCRANTON, Penn. — Wyndham Hotels & Resorts was unable to persuade a Pennsylvania federal court to dismiss a sex trafficking victim’s lawsuit against the hotel chain. Her evidence plausibly indicates that the hotel profited from her trafficking at a franchise it controlled, and that its staff ignored obvious signs of trafficking: “patrons regularly paying in cash, patrons paying for extended stays, signs of illegal drug use, frequent requests for linen changes, large numbers of condoms left in the trash,” and even guests leaving reviews online about violence from “pimps” and complaining of prostitution there.
