During an appearance on CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday morning, former Democratic lawmaker turned Donald Trump supporter Tulsi Gabbard had little to say to the families of war veterans who were outraged by his photo-op at Arlington National Cemetery.Speaking with host Dana Bash, Gabbard, herself a veteran, was asked about Trump's highly criticized appearance with several Gold Star families at their invitation that he turned into a campaign ad complete with thumbs-ups and smiles while standing behind headstones. When asked about other families who were disturbed by the appropriateness, to say nothing of the legality, of using the cemetery for political appearances, Gabbard seemed unbothered."The question is about the federal law and Arlington rules that prohibit partisan or political activities at national cemeteries and the military. And also other members of other families who are buried right near there are upset about the campaign filming it and posting the video online," Bash explained. "Do you believe that was appropriate?"ALSO READ: Something broke Trump’s brain"No, I checked with the campaign on this question and they have exchanges with the officials at Arlington Cemetery. They were approved to bring a camera there to document this historic and momentous day that should not be forgotten by any American and to have a former president there and joining these gold star families," Gabbard offered without addressing the other families' concerns."I know president Trump wanted to share that with others, especially given the fact that President Biden- and Harris, I heard, were invited by some of these family members. They not only didn't come, they didn't even respond to that invitation," she asserted.Watch below or at the link. - YouTube youtu.be
