Bomb explosion at California courthouse injures five: officials

A bomb explosion at a California courthouse injured at least five people Wednesday morning, officials said. A male suspect has been detained and the courthouse remained closed Wednesday afternoon as investigators processed the scene, according to a social media post by Santa Barbara County Sheriff spokesperson Raquel Zick. The explosion came from “an intentionally set improvised explosive device," the sheriff’s office said.ALSO READ: The week Fox News finally faces its reckoningSanta Maria is about 160 miles north of downtown Los Angeles.Five people were being treated at a nearby hospital, hospital spokesperson Sandy Doucette told CNN>“Of these, three are in fair condition, while two are in good condition. We are providing them with the highest level of care and support,” she told CNN.
