Residents of a suburban East Bay community have spent the past 10 days dealing with a jarring trend — not repeated rain storms or the end of baseball season. Earthquakes. Lots of them. Since Nov. 9 there have been 83 earthquakes in a roughly 1-mile radius around the town of San Ramon. The earthquakes, which geologists call a swarm, are small, ranging in size from .6 magnitude to 3.8.
