Trump Accuses Iran and Israel of Violating Ceasefire
U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday accused both Iran and Israel of breaching the ceasefire agreement. As reported by Reuters and relayed by Ukrinform, Trump posted a warning on his Truth Social platform shortly after leaving the White House for the NATO summit in The Hague: “Israel. Do not drop those bombs. If you do, it will be a serious violation. Bring your pilots home — immediately!” “The ceasefire is in effect. Please, do not violate it!” His remarks came after Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said he had ordered new strikes on targets in Tehran in response to Iranian missile launches at Israel, calling it a “blatant violation” of the ceasefire. Iran, in turn, denied launching any missiles and claimed that Israeli strikes continued for more than an hour after the ceasefire was supposed to take effect. Speaking to reporters before boarding his plane, Trump said he was “unhappy” with both sides for violating the truce, especially with Israel, which he said "unleashed" attacks immediately after agreeing to the ceasefire. As reported earlier, on June 24, President Trump announced a full and comprehensive ceasefire between Israel and Iran, which was set to take effect within hours.
