Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi held a phone call with Norwegian Chief of Defence Gen. Eirik Kristoffersen, updating him on the current situation at the front. Syrskyi noted that the heaviest fighting continues in the Lyman, Dobropillia, Pokrovsk, and Novopavlivka directions, where Russian forces remain highly active. He stressed the importance of strengthening the defense of cities and critical infrastructure, and highlighted Ukraine’s urgent needs in air defense systems, radars, and artillery. “Only through joint efforts can we stop the enemy and defend justice,” Syrskyi emphasized. The Commander-in-Chief expressed gratitude to Norway — King Harald V, the government, the people, and Gen. Kristoffersen personally — for strong military support.
