Officers confirmed a body was found in the Glenfernate area of Blairgowrie and the family of missing man Ross Kinghorn informed.

The family of 82-year-old Alice Mitchell have been informed of the discovery in Inverurie.

He had been on a walking trip with his family and went for a hike on his own at around 8am.

In a post on social media, her family said she sent a final WhatsApp message at 8pm to a friend abroad
