NASA says China is slowing down Earth's rotation

NASA has discovered that China's Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydroelectric power station, has impacted Earth's rotation. The dam's water pressure has increased the planet's moment of inertia, slightly slowing its spin and adding 0.06 microseconds to the day. This change, though minute, impacts astrophysical and planetary science measurements. The dam has also caused significant environmental and geological disruptions.
