BJP MLA introduces private members bill on well-being of future generations in Maharashtra

BJP MLA Ameet Satam introduced the Maharashtra Future Generations Welfare Bill in the state legislative assembly, aiming for sustainable development aligned with the UN's 17 SDGs. The bill, inspired by Wales’ Well-Being of Future Generations Act, 2015, proposes a Commissionerate of Future Generations to ensure government departments follow sustainable goals. If passed, the bill will establish the Future Generations Commissioner office.
