Pre-Monsoons Hit Mumbai ; Thane Traffic Grinds to a Halt

Thane experienced heavy showers at midnight, while rainfall was seen in North Mumbai this morning. For the other half of the day, light showers are expected. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) have gave yellow alert for the financial capital. The monsoons are expected to hit Mumbai from June 9 to June 11. Mumbai has been experiencing heavy rains since Saturday. Though, Borivali, along with Kalyan were slight out of the picture for the monsoons. North Mumbai is still expected to be in the spotlight. Thane experienced heavy rains at midnight while North Mumbai had rain in the morning. A thunderstorm was developed yesterday evening near Metropolitan City which raised a strong possibility of rain in Panvel and Navi Mumbai. Mumbaikars have also been sharing tweets and visuals on X(formerly twitter) saying, 'Monsoon Mubarak'. Many of them also reported that the traffic was affected in many areas due to waterlogging and rainfall. Netizens also shared to have experienced heavy traffic since midnight 3 due to heavy rainfall and obstacles at the Ghodbunder road towards Thane. According to the Weather Forecast, On June 8, the temprature will be in between 24 to 32 Degrees with one or two spells of rain and thunderstrom while on June 9, The Monsoons may hit the City.
