A young techie from Maharashtra, India, tragically lost his life on the afternoon of July 10th in Glacier National Park, Montana, USA. The victim, identified as 29-year-old Shrinivas Nakka, drowned while swimming in Lake McDonald. Last Message to His Mother Just hours before the tragedy, Nakka sent a text message to his mother, Uma Mahadevamma, expressing his excitement about the trip and sharing some travel updates. The text read: 'I just spent the day hiking in Glacier National Park. It's amazing here! We're going for a swim in Lake McDonald later.' Search and Rescue Operation The Glacier National Park Rangers received a report of a possible drowning around 5:30 pm. Rangers and local search and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. They conducted a thorough search and eventually located Nakka's body in the lake. Family in Shock and Grief Nakka's family in India was devastated by the news. His mother, Mahadevamma, said she couldn't believe that her son was gone. 'He was so full of life and had so many plans,' she said. 'We can't believe this has happened.' Investigation Ongoing The National Park Service is investigating the incident. According to preliminary reports, Nakka was swimming near the shore in an area with a designated swimming buoy. The exact cause of drowning is yet to be determined.
