GECOM rejects claims of civil society groups over voting
A number of civil society groups yesterday expressed serious concern regarding the integrity and inclusiveness of the September 1 2025 National Elections but the claims have been rejected by the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) The Guyana Human Rights Association (GHRA) , the Guyana Trade Union Congress (GTUC), Red Thread, the Guyana Organization of Indigenous Peoples (GOIP), Policy Forum Guyana, Access to Information Group, Amerindian Peoples Association (APA), Guyana Workers Union (GWU), East Coast Clean-up Committee, Transparency Institute Guyana Inc (TIGI), the Guyana Society for the Blind, and SASOD Guyana voiced concerns.
