Samartex have completed the signing of goalkeeper Sabi Acquah Ferdinand in the ongoing transfer window, securing the experienced shot-stopper on a three-year contract.The 28-year-old joins the Timber Giants after a successful negotiation, signing a deal that will keep him at Samreboi until 2028.Ferdinand, known for his height and commanding presence, was most recently with Nsoatreman FC, where he signed a two-year deal last season. He made a total of eight appearances during the 2024/25 campaign, seven in the Ghana Premier League and one in the CAF Confederation Cup qualifiers, recording two clean sheets and conceding 10 goals.He previously played for WAFA and Kotoku Royals and is regarded as one of the more seasoned goalkeepers in the Ghanaian top flight.After missing much of the second half of last season, Ferdinand is keen to return to regular football and will be hoping to stake a strong claim for the No.1 spot at Samartex.
