Quinte Health looking into improved security at local hospitals

Quinte Health is looking into beefing up security in certain areas of local hospitals and updating its overall security system to better protect patients, staff and visitors. The organization’s President and CEO Stacey Daub said this is triggered by a few incidents of people threatening violence on hospital premises, necessitating police involvement. One of them occurred this past March, when a security guard was stabbed by a male patient.
