OPP investigating collision on Hwy 401 near Port Hope

Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the OPP are investigating a collision on Highway 401 near Port Hope. On Friday, July 4, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., OPP was notified of a collision involving a tractor-trailer and passenger vehicle between County Road 28 and County Road 2 on Highway 401 westbound. As a result, the sole occupant of the passenger vehicle was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
