Nelson Mandela Day: Nigeria reaffirms commitment to prisoners’ rights

WorldStage Newsonline– The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the rights and dignity of all individuals in prison custody, in line with the Nigerian Constitution and international obligations. The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made this known during a one-day dialogue focused on the 2024 Prison Audit jointly conducted by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).
