Large contraband seizure at Warkworth Institution

There was a large seizure of contraband last week at Warkworth Institution. Between July 9 and 10, 2025, as a result of the vigilance of staff members, multiple packages containing contraband and unauthorized items were seized at Warkworth Institution, a medium security federal institution. The items seized included tobacco, marijuana, crystal methamphetamine, oxycodone, “shatter” (cannabis concentrate),THC, “grabba” (Jamaican tobacco), cocaine, as well as drug paraphernalia and cell phone accessories. The total estimated institutional value of these seizures is $158,215. These seizures were the result of suspected drone drops.
