Hospice Quinte facility expansion gets financial relief

Quinte West City Council has again given help to Hospice Quinte’s expansion efforts. At Wednesday’s meeting, the horseshoe approved the waiving of development fees for the organization in the amount of $37,468 as it gets ready to add four beds at the existing Stan Klemencic Care Centre on Old Highway 2. Council had directed staff to prepare a report in response to Hospice Quinte’s request last month after originally waiving all development-related fees and granting the land to the organization during the original development of the facility in 2020-21.
