Ontario investing in Seniors health in Madoc and Tweed

The Ontario government is investing $54,100 to support seniors through three programs in Tweed and Madoc. St. Mary’s of Egypt Refuge is receiving $25,000 to combat isolation, ageism and cultivate self reliance, Land O’Lakes Curling Club is receiving $4,100 to deliver an intensive senior’s fitness program, and Tweed Legion Branch 428 is receiving $25,000 for their Senior Veterans Harmony Lunch program. Funding is part of the Seniors Community Grant Program (SCGP), which is designed to help seniors increase independence, reduce social isolation and create positive connections.
