Traffic stop in Bancroft leads to drug and weapon charges

Bancroft OPP has charged two people with drug offences following a traffic stop on Sunday. Officers stopped a vehicle on Bridge Street East at 1:20 a.m. During the stop, police said suspected crack cocaine was observed in plain view. Both occupants were arrested and a search of the vehicle led to the seizure of drugs, cash, a prohibited weapon, and items associated with drug trafficking.
