North China Buffet closed due to ‘serious breach’ of health regulations

The North China Buffet in Belleville has been closed following what South East Health Unit officials are calling a "serious breach of Ontario’s Food Premises Regulation." The regional health unit has ordered the closure of the restaurant until the identified health hazards are eliminated and the operator can demonstrate full compliance with public health regulations. Health Unit officials say they are working closely with the restaurant operator to ensure all violations are addressed and that appropriate corrective actions are implemented. The restaurant will remain closed until a full reinspection determines the premises is safe to reopen. Although no illnesses have been reported...
