Two charged in proactive traffic enforcement blitz

Members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have charged two drivers with impaired driving while conducting proactive traffic enforcement. On Saturday, August 23, 2025, around 12:00 a.m., officers were conducting a RIDE program in Picton when a motorist attempted to evade the RIDE program. Officers located the vehicle and spoke to the driver. During the interaction, officers utilized an approved roadside alcohol screening device on the driver.
