Emergency watermain repairs on Main Street in Picton

Motorists can expect traffic delays on Friday on Picton Main Street between Spencer Street and Fawcett Avenue.  Municipal officials say the Water and Wastewater Department will be working to conduct emergency watermain repairs on Picton Main Street/Highway 49. Repairs began at 10 a.m. with an expected completion time of 5 p.m. the same day.  Picton Main Street may be reduced to one lane as needed to complete the water main repair.  Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.  These repairs are not expected to impact water quality;...
