Cobourg Police arrested a man following an incident involving a knife on Sunday afternoon. Around 4 pm, police responded to a weapons call in the area of King Street West and Forth Street in Cobourg. Two youths reported being approached by a man with a knife. Police arrived on scene and arrested a suspect. No injuries were sustained during the interaction, and no physical contact was made. Following an investigation, Luke Bateman (45) of Cobourg was charged with Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Uttering Threats.
