Unwanted person call results in charges against Belleville man

Belleville Police were called to a west end residence on Friday before 8:30 a.m. regarding an unwanted person. Officers learned that the unwanted male was trying to speak to a former girlfriend at that address. After the female refused to let him in, the male brandished a knife at the door and a struggle ensued. What followed was minor injuries to the female homeowner's hand, threats from the male against the homeowner and a bike tire being slashed. A 39-year-old Belleville man was charged with assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats and mischief and was held for a bail...
