Exynos 2500 Chip Officially Launched
Samsung has officially launched its latest Exynos 2500 chip built using 3nm Gate-All-Around (GAA) technology. It features a configuration of 1 x Cortex-X5 (ARM Cortex-X925) at 3.3GHz, 2 x Cortex-A725 at 2.74GHz, 5 x Cortex-A725 at 2.36GHz and 2 x Cortex-A520 at 1.8GHz.The chip is equipped with the Samsung Xclipse 950 graphics processing unit based on AMD RDNA 3 architecture. This GPU supports ray tracing to provide a more realistic gaming experience. It also supports displays with resolutions up to 4K and refresh rates as high as 120Hz.The Exynos 2500 also comes with a high-powered NPU capable of achieving up to 59 trillion operations per second (TOPS) with a 39% increase in AI performance on the device. The chip also supports LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. In addition, the ISP on the Exynos 2500 supports camera sensors up to 320MP and 8K30FPS video recording capabilities.Complementing its capabilities is the Exynos 5400 modem that supports 3GPP Rel. 17 standards including 5G mmWave connectivity with download speeds of up to 12.1Gbps. Other connectivity features that are also supported include satellite connectivity, Bluetooth 5.4, and Wi-Fi 7.The chip is expected to be used in the Galaxy Z Flip 7, making it the first device to use the Exynos 2500 globally.
