Olympic committee, triathlon federation earn $$ boost
The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) and the TT Triathlon Federation (TTTF) have received a financial boost from the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs ahead of upcoming events. Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Phillip Watts “has bolstered TT’s sporting ambitions by presenting substantial funding to key athletic organisations,” a statement on Watts’ Facebook page said. The TTOC received $1 million towards the Junior Pan Am Games and the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Beach Games. The triathlon event will take place at Courland Heritage Park on August 23 and the Junior Pan Am Games will be held from August 9-23 in Asuncion, Paraguay.
