Former Hearts of Oak board member Frank Nelson says the Phobians will need a game changer to change the dynamics of matches ahead of the 2025/26 football campaign. The experienced football administrator was in attendance when his outfit succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Asante Kotoko in the President Cup last Sunday.“I think Hearts of Oak need a game changer. We will need a player who can handle the ball for us, something we lacked against Kotoko. It would have been a different story if we had a game changer in our set up against Kotoko” he said on Kessben FM.The Phobians enjoyed a fairly good campaign during the 2024/25 Ghanaian football season. Despite missing out on a trophy, the team’s top-four finish in the Ghana Premier League was an improvement from the previous campaign, where the team almost suffered relegation. After the improvement, Hearts of Oak are now aiming to win the Ghana Premier League in the 2025/26 season under Didi Dramani.
