Cooling Centre open in Quinte West

Quinte West residents and visitors can seek refuge from the heat at the Duncan McDonald Community Gardens again. The Trenton arena is open all this week as a cooling centre from today until Sunday, July 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The City of Quinte West activates the cooling centre when there are two straight days of temperatures 31 degrees Celsius or higher or humidex values of 35 degrees or warmer. The city stated splash pads will be usable from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in both Trenton and Frankford....
