Belleville Council has cleared the way for a pair of community events to be held in the city. At its meeting on Monday, those around the horseshoe approved the issuing of Special Occasion Permits and Temporary Noise Permits for Belleville Ribfest and the Belleville Caribbean Festival. In order to approve the permit applications, council had to declare both events as ‘municipally significant events’ to allow for the sale of alcohol.
