Successful BPS-OPP traffic enforcement safety blitz

The Belleville Police Traffic Safety Unit is reporting a successful two-day joint traffic enforcement blitz this week. The initiative on Wednesday and Thursday focused on Commercial Motor Vehicles and modified vehicles, aiming to improve road safety and ensure compliance with provincial regulations. In total, the blitz resulted in 45 charges and 11 warnings being issued. Just some of the offences reported included operating a commercial vehicle with an improper licence, incomplete daily inspections, defective braking systems, and obstructed licence plates.
