Driver charged after pedestrian struck by vehicle in Belleville

A Napanee man is facing several charges after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Sunday morning in Belleville. The incident happened near North Front and Tracey Streets at 2:22 a.m. Police said the vehicle fled but left parts behind including a bumper which contained the licence plate.  William Savard, 24 of Napanee was charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm, failing to stop after an accident and impaired operation causing bodily harm. The pedestrian received medical attention for injuries to her head and face. He was released on an Undertaking with a court date in July....
