Combat Takes Centre Stage in Creepy Jar’s First StarRupture Gameplay Teaser

Creepy Jar, the creator behind Green Hell, has blessed us with the first gameplay teaser of their next title, StarRupture. StarRupture is a co-op base-building survival game where players explore exotic planets for resources. These resources are hard-earned, as these planets are also full of danger. While there are many things to observe in the trailer, it is focused on combat with insectoid aliens. Besides combat, where you smoothly turn around, aim, and shoot, we also see other parts of the gameplay loop. We see the player add defensive turrets to their base and fill them with ammunition on the fly to defend against an incoming attack. However, due to the sheer size of the base, this won’t be sufficient as there are many more attacks spread out over the entire perimeter. Adding insult to injury, the aliens aren’t the only threat in StarRupture, as an explosion from the sun of this solar system sends a solar flare in our general direction. This causes the player to experience varying degrees of severe heat, which leads to a blackout of the cameras. Not only do you have to look out for aliens and the environment itself, but you also have to manage hunger, thirst, and a toxicity indicator next to the health bar, indicating that there will be many more hazards to consider when exploring the world of StarRupture.
