Today, United Label and producer-turned-game developer Sam ‘EnrightBeats’ Enright released Beyond Galaxyland. The game is an adventure RPG inspired by classic 1980s sci-fi films and iconic turn-based RPGs from the 1990s. Set in the fictional Galaxyland, the story follows Doug, a high school student, who along with his pet guinea pig, Boom Boom, is transported to a collection of planets just before Earth’s destruction by a celestial force known as “The End.” As Doug embarks on a journey across Galaxyland’s various worlds, he forms a team of allies, both new and familiar, in an attempt to uncover the truth and possibly reverse the destruction of Earth. Developed as a solo passion project by Enright, Beyond Galaxyland modernizes the old-school RPG experience with a combination of platforming, puzzle-solving, turn-based combat, and boss battles. It also features a capture and summons mechanic, allowing Doug to use the creatures he encounters in future fights. Key Features: Active Turn-Based Combat: Engage in strategic battles with galactic enemies, utilizing time-responsive defensive gameplay. Each party member offers unique abilities, and players can scan enemies pre-battle to uncover their strengths and weaknesses. Interplanetary Exploration: Explore a variety of planets, each with unique environments, quests, puzzles, and characters, from snow-covered Arcos to the neon-lit cities of Neo. Classic Sci-Fi Adventure: A 2.5D adventure-RPG that pays homage to family-friendly sci-fi stories with elements of humor, peril, and friendship. Epic Boss Battles: Face off against 25 unique bosses, including space dragons, flesh-eating plants, and the all-knowing Nexus Mind. Capture & Utilize Enemies: Capture creatures encountered on different worlds, each with special abilities, and use them in battle. Beyond Galaxyland is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One for $17.99/€17.99, and on PC for $14.99/€14.99. Additionally, a 20% discount is available for a limited time on PC.
