In our recent articles of Cardfight!! Vanguard we explained the new Energy system as well as the newly added Divine Skills for the Fated One Vanguards. Today we’ll be featuring some of the cards from the newest Booster Pack, Illusionless Strife. In this newest set, you’ll find more Fated One Vanguards, as well as a lot of support cards that work in other decks. Before we delve into that content, however, we do wish to mention that as of late Bushiroad is offering a lot of event options for local game stores. During these events, you’ll be able to collect cool new Energy cards, anime-themed sleeves, special promo cards, and of course, general promo card support. We suggest downloading the Bushi Navi app to check if your local stores are hosting any Bushiroad events. This newest Booster Pack of course has a lot of new Ridelines to offer and many support cards for existing decks, but we want to highlight the new Fated One Vanguard units for this article. In the newest set, you’ll find Fated One of Zero, Blangdmire, Fated One of Time, Liael゠Amorta, and Fated One of Taboo, Zorga Nadir. These new high-powered Vanguards represent Dark States, Keter Sanctuary, and Stoicheia. Blangdmire focuses on binding units from its Soul to gain more power. Its Divine Skill requires eight face-down cards in your Bind Zone, in order to gain an extra Critical and prevent your opponent from using any Sentinels during your entire turn. Blangdmire even nullifies all the abilities of your opponent’s Vanguard until the end of their turn. Liael゠Amorta is a more defensive Vanguard, as it focuses on calling additional cards from your deck, and it can also nullify incoming enemy attacks. Its Divine Skill does open up more offensive options, as you’ll be able to perform an additional attack if you have a copy of Liael゠Amorta in your Drop Zone. You are then able to Ride it and attack once more with one less Drive Check. Zorga players will be happy with the newest Zorga option entering the fray. Fated One of Taboo, Zorga Nadir of course has its usual Alchemagic shenanigans up its sleeve, but you’ll also be able to call some additional Rear Guards from your Drop Zone. These units get retired at the end of the turn, however, but not after dealing some additional blows with increased power depending on the cards in your Bind Zone. Zorga’s Divine Skill allows you to restand a full column to hopefully deal a finishing blow. As stated above, there are of course many more new Vanguards to discover and many more decks to create and try out. Keep an eye out for Bushiroad-sanctioned events for cool promotional material and the option to play against Cardfight!! Vanguard players. We quite enjoyed the new available options, and we are already looking forward to the release of DZ Booster Pack 03: Dimensional Transcendence.
