The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) under the able leadership of Comrade Adewale Adeyanju, fnli, HCFSP joins faith with Muslin Brothers and Sisters in Nigeria and across the world during the on going Ramadan fast which will usher in the lesser Hajj in the Holy land of Mecca at the end of the Ramadan. It's a tradition for all Muslim faithful Nigeria and across the world that the Ramadan period must be observed which starts today, 1st of the month of Ramadan, which is very obligatory to observe. The purpose of the Ramadan is to continually fear the Almighty Allah ( The Merciful and the Beneficiary) of mankind. It is also a solemn period for asking for the forgiveness of our transgressions, and our beloved ones, plead for mercy and forgiveness for our leaders in position of authority and one another irrespective of tribe, colour, descent or religious affiliation as preached and demonstrated by the Holy Prophet, Mohammed ( Peace be unto Him) while on planet earth doing good.Prince Adewale Adeyanju, the seasoned Maritime numero uno labour leader in the country, Deputy President, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and Vice President Global, International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) admonished Muslims to show exemplary character and behavior, exhibit love on one another, eschew bitterness and violence, be tolerant with with every neighbour in the society so as to get the best from the Almighty God during and after the Ramadan exercise, which of course will give every Muslim a sigh of succour, happiness, true joy and forgiveness from God Almighty before the Eid - Fitar feast.Dr Adeyanju prays fervently that this year's Ramadan will be of immense success with genuine repentance of our sins, while cautioning every Muslim to be of good courage and cheers as the Almighty Allah is all compassionate and full of mercy and love, hence, our supplications will be rewarded by the Almighty Allah anytime we ask for forgiveness. Having said that, I wish every Muslim faithful a Happy Ramadan period.E-SignedComrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media, MWUN
