Regenerative Agriculture Gains Ground Among African Farmers

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – October 3, 2025 – Smallholder farmers across Africa are increasingly adopting regenerative agriculture practices to boost productivity while protecting the environment. This was the key outcome of the Second Roundtable of African Farmers, which brought together farmers from Ivory Coast, Lesotho, Mali, Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, and Zambia. Participants stressed that regenerative farming—combining modern tools with traditional methods—can improve soil health, strengthen resilience to climate change, and enhance food security.
